Job Summary
We are Best Circuits Inc. a rapidly growing design and manufacturing company that focuses on Embedded controllers and industrial IoT development. We are seeking a full-time Hardware Engineer to design and layout our custom hardware. As a Hardware Design Engineer, you will have the opportunity to learn about all the details of the manufacturing processes necessary to turn ideas into World Class Products. We are looking for a creative, energetic, self-driven Engineer with great attention to detail, and Project Management skills with potential to eventually move into HW Management.
Job Responsibilities
- Help in the component selection and schematic design process
- Perform Board layout using Altium tools
- Interact with Mechanical, Firmware and Test engineers to ensure the design meets all specifications.
- Using common tools such as debuggers, emulators, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and voltmeters to test hardware and confirm that hardware is operating correctly
- Work with our manufacturing team to gain design feedback to ensure end product will be easy to mass produce
- Interact with Product Support and Marketing teams to provide customer support as needed
- Manage BOMs and work with MFG to ensure Components are readily available for prototype and volume builds.
- Manage project timelines and coordinate with Product Management to ensure development schedules are met.
Preferred Experience:
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related major
- Experience using Altium tools to design schematics and create board layouts
- Knowledge of Signal Integrity aspects of HW Design
- Knowledge of Power Regulation, Conversion and Distribution to onboard devices
- Ability to solder and modify circuits during debug
- Experience with debug tools such as Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Current probes.
Bonus Experience:
- Experience with laying out RF circuits for BlueTooth and WiFi
- Experience with High Volage circuits (120V-240V)
- Experience with UL, and FCC certification
